Thermomix Menu Plans - 4th June


We have sunshine! Winter is here, and the beautiful Far North Queensland weather is kicking in. If any of you are planning a visit to FNQ, this is the time to come! :D Cool, but not too cold, lots of lovely tropical fruits and seafood, and beautiful sunny days... we hope... Well this is supposed to be our 'dry season' - we only have two seasons here you know, wet and dry! So let's hope the sunshine stays for a while.


Miss C is enjoying the dragonfruit at the moment, and we've also had lots of custard apples, pomelos, grapefruit, limes, avocadoes, bananas, pomegranate, pineapples and pawpaws. Lovely. (Note: if you haven't tried dragonfruit and strawberry fruity dream yet, you really should!)

Yesterday I made some gluten free profiteroles, which I haven't done in ages - I don't know why I haven't, they're so easy and yummy. Maybe it's because of all the eggs I use when I make them...

I went through almost two dozen eggs yesterday what with the scrambled eggs for breakfast, profiteroles, pastry creme, and poached eggs for dinner! Oops. Ah well, eggs are so good for you. And I do have six egg whites left over, so I'm thinking about what to make with those. Not pavlova - it never works with natural sweeteners and I can't bear the thought of using all that sugar! And not angel food cake - same deal. Maybe some apricot almond macaroons.

Monday:
Homemade hamburgers

Tuesday:
Fish pie - white sauce and mashed potatoes made in tmx, veges steamed in varoma, baked in oven;

Wednesday:
Chicken & cashews with cashew satay sauce on quinoa (all in one tmx meal)

Thursday:
Thai fish cakes (tmx - Seafood cookbook) & salad

Friday:
Lentil bolognese (tmx) with spelt pasta and salad

Saturday:
(lunch) Avocado & salad pizzas with almond flour pizza bases (tmx)
(dinner) Lamb roast & veges (gravy in tmx)

Sunday:
Pan fried fish with coleslaw (tmx) and baked veges
